I know Mr. Quintana from our work together in the 112th District Attorney's Office, which prosecuted felony cases in five counties in southwest Texas. I was the 112TH District Attorney from 1997 to December 31, 2004. During that time, James Quintana was employed by my office as our Chief Investigator.
I am proud to say that hiring James was one of the best hiring decisions I made. He was very thorough in his duties and the pursuit of justice and truth. James won the respect of the law enforcement communities of the 10 Texas counties covered by the 83rd and 112TH District Attorneys office. Since leaving office, I still call on Quintana Investigations for my backgrounds and advice on investigations.
James was a self-starter while in my employ and was truly devoted to being a public servant. For example, he conducted numerous education classes designed to protect citizens, promote professionalism and raise the standards for law enforcement investigations.
He handled all the background investigations for the district including new hires, witnesses, and defendants. Because of his investigation skills, we were able to seize millions of dollars from drug dealers. In addition, he worked on the backgrounds of several capital murder cases all while running his business.
On his own initiative, he obtained grant monies so that the peace officers serving our district and many surrounding counties could have new bulletproof vests. His efforts were certainly appreciated by his fellow officers and his leadership abilities were recognized on a State level with his association with and leadership in the Texas District and County Attorney's Association.
James was selected to attend the FBI academy and graduated at the top of his class. He was appointed to the FBI task force and assisted on public corruption. He was also elected to many positions within his field.
James is a dedicated husband and father. He also served his local church as a teacher. Needless to say, James has been greatly missed by this community. Therefore, it is without hesitation that I recommend that James Quintana. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
